Tomorrow is the Day

THE THE-This is the Day

Tomorrow all of my paperwork for graduate school (again) is due. I have dragged my feet as long as I could and now can no longer avoid the inevitable. I know I have to do it. I'm a little scared and a little excited.

I am truly scared shitless. I've been in grad school before and it SCARES me. Not that the work is so unbearably hard, there's just so much and the professors are frickin' primadonnas at that level. It's all about them, and their research and blah, blah, blah. But I have to do this to get my certification for my job. The industry is changing, which is a good thing, but requires that I go back, again. Did I say "yuck?"

Did you get it all in?

It's just more hoops and nothing to be scared of. What did Woody Allen say? "Half of life is showing up."

Remember how high school was once intimidating, then college? It's just another system.

Yup. Now I just wait for the torture to begin. I used to like school. The only thing that I am oddly excited about is buying new office/school supplies. Nothing quite cheers me like the perfect assignment book or a fresh ream of paper and new pens. Although this time around I'll probably spend more on printer cartridges.
