Wow, your ipod really knows your mood. Mine always mixes in Simon and Garfunkle when I want to jump up and down, I'm impressed.
Congrats on the draft. But don't think that that distracts from Gwen having snuck in between Naked Raygun and The Methadones.
Dale, I am an unapologetic Gwen Stefani fan. It doesn't quite fit the rest of my taste, but I saw No Doubt in the quad at my school in Fullerton, CA years ago when they were nobodies and have loved them ever since. Sure her new album is pop fluff, but it's pop fluff that makes you want to move. I admit to liking the occasional dance track.
Hey-- we've all got our guilty pleasures. My son still remembers wedding #2, when he was 5-- my gettin' down to K.C. and the Sunshine Band's "Get Down Tonight." He points this out whenever he hears this song. It'll be a lifelong source of embarassment.
Gwen Stefani??? Gwen STEFANI???? NO DOUBT??? What? Was Huey Lewis unavailable??
Time for a new throwdown people.
Throwdown will have to wait until after Dec. 8, when my class is done. It takes preparation, you know. Gotta go back into training.
I still want to see Dale and Old Lady throw down! Or Ulu and anyone! Suggestions? Volunteers for a video throwdown?
Congrats on the paper. That's always such a relief, and a good excuse to use drugs. Um I mean get wasted.
Lulu vs. CP!! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!
We need a theme....I'm an English teacher, remember? I need a theme.
Renaissance/Medieval. Run with it. I can think of at least four great videos on that theme off of the top of my head.
When and Where, and is CP in? And is this terrrible Ren/Med vids, or cool ones?
In my opinion, the *terribler* the better. Far more entertaining. As for CP, I say challenge him. Either he responds or he whimps out.
I don't have enough Replacements on my Mp3 player. And all my Naked Raygun is on vinyl.
Aging hipsters have problems, too.
Grant, dude, you need the program where you can turn your vinyl into 1's and 0's. We have it. It rocks.
Hey-- don't be knocking Huey Lewis-- I have a newfound respect for him:
