Free Shit!!!!

NAKED RAYGUN-Knock Me Down

At one point the crowd screamed for "Free Shit." Naked Raygun is known for tossing all sorts of goodies with their logo on it. Jeff's response was, "The show's the free shit!" Just had to let you all see the fabulousness that was the Cobra show. Uh, I still hurt. Damn, that was fun!

DUDE!!!!!!!

I have all sorts of random bruises on my legs. And I hurt like hell the next day and couldn't hear a damn thing. God that was fun!

Too bad the sound quality on that video is so poor. I bet more show up on youtube though.

Thanks again sweetie!

At what point did the crowd go completely batshit? It was controled mayhem up to a certain point, and then the whole club became a gian mosh pit. What song did it?

That is just so f*ckin cool. How did you find out about the show?

Jeff told me more than a month ago when we hanging out after a Bomb show. I am the unpaid promotions assistant for his current band. I do it out of pure love and adoration. I met him many, many years ago doing an interview that ended up happening at my house. If you go through my archives, there is a post about Grand Rapids and the Naked Raygun interview. That's where it all started. I fell in love with their music and then I met them and they are all totally great guys. I'm a lifer......can't imagine a world without them.

I remember that--I think that's the first time I saw your blog.

When Eric used to work at a vintage store on Clark St, we were friends with his girlfriend Laurie.

Small world

Lu, I think it was Backlash Jack, because every song after that is a blur. I remember things pretty vividly up to that point and then I mostly remember singing loudly and being squished.

Sounds like a good show. I used to have a NR tshirt. Do they still make them?

They threw a few out at the show, but were not selling them. I still have two myself. I hope they sell them at the Subterranean and Riot Fest shows. Are you going?

Is that Herb in the foreground, pumping his fist into the air?

I think that was every Raygun fan in the joint pumping a collective fist in the air. Hi, Tankboy! See you at the Sub T show?
