Forgive Me

I apologize for not being around as much as I have been in the past. Rough start for everyone in our family this fall and I am the one left to sweep up. I have now morphed into Tenacious S-Super Advocate and will be spending most of my spare energy getting my kids squared away. I am frustrated beyond explanation with the school system. I seriously want to hurt someone at this point. I'm used to this battle because I do it all of the time for my clients. Now it's time to take them on for my own babes. I particularly am pissed off at my son's school and have fantasies about meeting the principal out behind the school and pummeling her into the ground. I can dream, can't I?

Sorry to hear of your troubles. What is going on? Does Bink have special needs?

Hopefully you won't need to meet the principal in the 'after school - you're dead' kind of way.

Sorry things are frustrating sweetie. Your kids rock and deserve to be treated well.

Thanks everybody. I had to kick some serious ass last week. As far as I can tell, because I won't believe it until it is happening on a regular basis, they have agreed to my requests and I will be having meetings for each of the little cherubs over the course of the next two weeks. I still want to kick her butt. Sweetness' principal is too big, but I found his achilles heel. He is misinformed. Ha! Ha! I win.

you know, you should ask Flannery about her secret theory on NCLB-A and how it affects public schools....

Aw, hell, she's busy, here it is in a nutshell: NCLB was manufactured, perhaps consciouslly, to prove that public schools just ain't a-working, so th' whole thing can be torn down to the very roots and rebuilt as a PRIVATE INDUSTRY. For, what does NCLB really SAY year after year other than, 'this shit ain't a-workin'???

TOL-I totally agree. They seem to have no plan for fixing what is broken.
