There aren't many more unlikely combinations of characters, but they did a lovely job with Lulu's favorite Christmas song. For a Bowie nutjob like me, it doesn't get much better than this.
I've finally finished the Christmas tree and will polish off the rest of the shopping tomorrow in a frantic flurry of economy stimulating spending. Bink is counting down the days to wrapping paper ripping euphoria. I am counting down the days to a blissful week off of work. We have no exotic plans and I am happy about that.
I was reminded this week by two tragic events that life is precious. Not that I had forgotten, but it made me hug my kids a little tighter. For them, this is still a magic season. I wish for them and for all of us, peace and happiness.

Wonderful video!
You're right about hugging your kids tighter...about this time, the next few days, is when I become weepy at the least provocation and tend to grab and hug my children about a dozen times a day.
And make sure you hold up your end of the Santa Claus lie, too. That's important.
Gee thanks, I haven't heard this song enough times. Really, one can never get enough of the parumpapumpuming.
Aw- Ten-S-- I was gonna post that one as my "Surreal Christmas Monment" post.
Well done!
JY
Lulu, my love for Bowie vetos your hate for Little Drummer Boy. Besides, most of the song diverts from the main melody of the tune. C'mon, Bing and Bowie....it's Christmaslicious!
Johnny, I'm sorry I screwed up your post.
Don't worry-- with years of therapy, I'm sure I'll get over it...
PS-- Ziggy Stardust was one of the first records I ever bought. I just finally got a cd of it. Bowie is the cat's pajamas, man!
Now, this is what I'm talking about... Bowie and Bing... Doesn't have to be good to be a classic....
OK, I am so old that I remember watching the original broadcast.
This is the only version of the song that I love. Otherwise, I can't bear to hear it. It's a classic. Lots of hugs for the kiddies!
I've always thought Lu was slightly touched for having such an aversion to LDB.
Oh, and I've never been able to appreciate Bing since I learned how he beat his children.
